Sassuolo, 1 September 2016 – A total of five projects will receive awards on 27th September in Bologna, in the prestigious setting of Palazzo De' Toschi, as winners of the fourth edition of the Quinquennial Tile Award. The international prize announced by Fincibec Group and dedicated to creators of life space, following a now well-known formula, has shed light on some of the most interesting and original works worldwide. All prize-winners used Monocibec, Century and Naxos ceramic surfaces to interpret their clients' desires and the technical and structural demands of designers.

The best project of the 2011-2015 Quinquennial according to the jury was the "Hesquin", a private villa designed by the BESPOKE architectural firm, signed off by Eddie da Silva, which looks out to one of South Africa's most suggestive pieces of coastline, Wilderness Western Cape. Closely followed by a striking building complex under completion at Greenwich Wharf, in London (UK), designed by Squire and Partners; the La Biloria restaurant in Legnano (Milan, Italy), designed by architect Nicola Ghilardi; Hotel Gkeea, a total restructuring of a tourism complex in Chalkidiki (Greece), managed by architect Panou Polytimi; the pool at Borgo della Spiga, a reception facility immersed in the Marches countryside, in Cingoli (Macerata, Italy).

The prize-giving coincides with the Cersaie week, the international trade show dedicated to architectural ceramics, where Bologna has become the perfect centre stage from which to showcase and celebrate the best the architectural world has to offer. And also the perfect occasion to launch the fifth edition of The Quinquennial Tile Award: from 26th September 2016, it will in fact be possible to register projects developed using Monocibec, Century and Naxos ceramics between 2013 and 2017.

Fincibec Group will be at Cersaie in hall 20 of Fiera di Bologna, displaying its new Monocibec (booth A20-B19), Century (booth A6) and Naxos (booth B8) collections.
