ST. LOUIS, Missouri (July 6, 2016) – The National Wood Flooring Association has announced that Lewis Lumber and Milling, in Dickson, Tennessee, has earned NWFA/NOFMA Mill Certification.

“We are pleased to welcome Lewis Lumber as the newest member of the NWFA/NOFMA Program,” said NWFA Manufacturer Services Director, John Forbes. “Embracing transparency and third-party certification in the wood flooring space has become a requisite to compete at a high level. The growing list of NWFA/NOFMA manufacturer members is an excellent example of this growing market demand.”

Lewis Lumber and Milling has a mission to focus on manufacturing high-quality unfinished hardwood plank flooring for quality-oriented hardwood flooring distributors. They manufacture red oak, white oak, and hickory unfinished flooring in 3”, 4”, 5”, 6”, 7” and 8”.

“It has been a gratifying challenge to help build the business at Lewis Lumber and Milling,” says Tim Ellrich with Lewis Lumber and Milling. “We have a simple principle: it has got to be right. The NWFA/NOFMA Program give us the tools and feedback to continue being successful in the future.”

The NWFA/NOFMA certification shows that a manufacturer’s wood flooring meets or exceeds the industry standards for grade, configuration, moisture content, and average board length. Certified mills are inspected a minimum of two times per year to ensure consistent grade standards are met.

A full list of NWFA/NOFMA certified manufacturers can be found on the NWFA website at http://www.nwfa.org/nofma-manufacturers.aspx.

The National Wood Flooring Association is a not-for-profit trade organization, with more than 3,100 member companies world-wide, dedicated to educating consumers, architects, designers, specifiers and builders in the uses and benefits of wood flooring. The NWFA is located at 111 Chesterfield Industrial Boulevard, Chesterfield, MO 63005, and can be contacted at 800.422.4556 (USA & Canada), 636.519.9663 (local and international), or at www.nwfa.org.
