King of Prussia, PA (PRWEB) March 29, 2016 - City Floor Supply (formerly Philadelphia Floor Store) just announced that they have resumed counter service at their new King of Prussia location. City Floor Supply had temporarily suspended counter service after a devastating fire leveled the company’s headquarters and distribution center in May of 2015. Contractors are once again able to purchase supplies on site. The Machine Repair Shop, administrative offices, and portions of the Pro Shop remain under construction - click here for an update on the company’s progress and an inside look at the new facility. A formal grand opening celebration is scheduled for mid-May.

According to Mike Glavin, founder and owner of City Floor Supply, “We are ahead of schedule on the construction of the Pro Shop, so we figured why not open it up to contractors, who have been patiently waiting for the day when they can walk back in and pick up the hardwood floor supplies they need.”

Since the fire, the flooring distributor has done everything in its power to satisfy their local customer base. They delivered even the smallest of orders to their client’s businesses, homes, and jobsites. While the company’s ability to ship nationally and delivery larger orders to the tri-state area resumed within just a few short weeks, counter service to the local contractor community was the one thing that was outside of their control.

“Our in-store clients typically stop in to pick up supplies they need for a job that’s scheduled for either later that morning, or the following day. They don’t have time to wait for a shipment or truck to arrive. It was literally all hands on deck, as sales representatives, operations staff, and members of our administrative team took phone orders and personally delivered items to our customers whenever and wherever they needed them. While we could not fulfill every order, we tried our very best. We are beyond grateful to our clients for their patience and understanding during these past 10 months and we look forward to welcoming them back.”

The company’s new headquarters and Pro Shop is located at 555 E. Church Rd, King of Prussia, PA 19406. Contractors are being instructed to park on the left side of the building and to proceed through the temporary contractor entrance adjacent to the parking lot.
