Board-formed concrete is the name for a process of pouring concrete that leaves a wood grain image on the finished face of the concrete. In a bygone construction era, the norm was to build a vertical wooden frame that served as the mold into which wet concrete was poured when building a wall. Because wood was not routinely sanded back then, the rough texture of the unfinished wood often left the recognizable wood grain texture on the cast concrete surface.”
