Philadelphia Floor Store Launches New “Lessons Learned” Blog Series

Conshohocken, PA (PRWEB) August 11, 2015 - Philadelphia Floor Store (PFS), the nation’s leading hardwood flooring distributor, recently launched a new " Lessons Learned" blog series. The company developed the idea for the series in the wake of a recent fire that completely destroyed their main headquarters and distribution center. The goal is to help other small business owners avoid insurance pitfalls and be prepared should disaster strike.
After what the company has been through these past few months, PFS feels an obligation to educate contractors and other small business owners and help them avoid some of the common (and not so common) pitfalls related to insurance coverage and disaster recovery. According to Mike Glavin, PFS owner and founder, “We have always committed time and effort to educate our contractors, so it only seemed natural to pass along what we learned in the wake of the fire.”
Continuing their mission to inform and educate, the company will take a “deep dive” into insurance coverage as it relates to small businesses and examine some of the common mistakes business owners make. Blog posts will focus on everything from making sure you have the proper insurance coverage, to how to develop a disaster recovery plan. “The ultimate goal is to help our customers and other small business owners stay in business should disaster strike. We would not have been able to continue operations had we not had a good solid plan in place,” continued Glavin.
Philly Floor will post several “Lessons Learned” blog features in the upcoming weeks. Click here to view the first two features in the series.
According to Caran Baxter, Marketing Coordinator for PFS, “Our blog is a powerful communication tool, so what better way to provide our customers with the information they need to troubleshoot and proactively develop solutions that leave them prepared should disaster strike.”
