(May 18, 2015) The Indiana Lumber & Builders’ Supply Association and the Michigan Lumber & Building Materials Association will merge by the end of the year.

Both associations have voted to approve the combination, which has been discussed for about a year, initially spurred by a desire for cost consolidation. Other benefits soon became apparent, including a more powerful voice for advocacy and greater impact in the services marketplace.

The newly formed group will be known as the Midwest Building Suppliers Association. Staffing and management are still under consideration.
