Marvin Buys TruStile Doors
(May 5, 2015) The Marvin Cos., Warroad, Mn., has acquired 100% ownership of TruStile Doors, Denver, Co.
TruStile was founded in 1995 to fill a need in the marketplace for a dependable source for high-quality doors that could be easily specified to match any architectural style or application. With a very similar go-to-market approach, both Marvin and TruStile’s products are regularly specified by the architectural and design community due to their differentiated quality and market-leading design options. Both are then purchased by custom builders and contractors through a national network of independent building products distributors and dealers, many of whom currently sell both Marvin windows and TruStile doors.
“TruStile is an outstanding company with a proven track record of quality and craftsmanship that aligns with our values and premier positioning in the marketplace,” said Dan Marvin, Marvin’s VP of business development. “The addition of TruStile to our family of brands will expand our product portfolio into other building products categories, and will allow us to combine our knowledge and resources to take advantage of new opportunities that will grow all of our brands successfully.”
Marvin plans to run TruStile as a separate business unit within The Marvin Companies. There will be no changes made to the way that TruStile currently services its national network of dealer partners and TruStile’s current senior management team, led by president and CEO Scott Schmid, will continue to run the company from its Denver headquarters.
