Arizona-Based Lumber Co. Shuts Down

(March 6, 2015)  After 66 years, Grant Road Lumber Co., Tuscon, Az., is closing its doors.

Owned and operated since 1948, the owners announced this week that they would cease operations at both of its locations-its midtown retail store on Grant Rd. and contractor lumberyard on 36th St.

Vice President Davit Hauert and his father, owner Sam Hauert, said the company is dept-free, but business has been sluggish.

Both the retail store and lumberyard are slated to close by the end of the month.
