Art Van Furniture Hires Michael Duchaine to Head Art Van Flooring

 

WARREN, MI (March 28, 2017) – Industry veteran Michael Duchaine has joined Art Van Furniture as vice president and general manager of Art Van Flooring. Duchaine comes to Art Van Furniture after previously holding the positions of vice president and head of stores’ merchandising for Floor and Décor.

As Vice President and General Manager, Duchaine is responsible for overseeing the rapid growth of Art Van Flooring, while maintaining loss and profit management, sales, marketing operations and store development for the more than fifteen locations in which Art Van Flooring exists, as well as two stand-alone stores.

Prior to joining Art Van Furniture, the Midwest’s number one furniture and mattress retailer and one of America’s largest independent furniture retailer, Duchaine spent over 20 years of his career with Home Depot. During his tenure with Home Depot, he served as a divisional and corporate merchant for flooring and a regional manager. Most recently, Duchaine was vice president and head of stores merchandising for Floor and Décor, a specialty flooring retailer with more than 70 stores nationwide.
