Palm takes Centre Stage at Coverings 2017

 

Rubiera, 1st March 2017 – Playing with colours and sizes for contemporary architecture. PALM by ISLATILES will be one of the main actors at Coverings 2017, the largest trade fair dedicated to the world of ceramics in North America, held in Orlando from 4th to 7th April.

ISLATILES will present its new collection interpreting the charm of wood through a new approach to colour, arising from a combination with stones and creating unexpected surfaces to serve the design world.

PALM evolves through four colourways, each one stemming from a different graphic sensitivity and interpretation of the material. From a blend of wood and limestone onyx comes PALM Onyx, an unusual surface expressing warmth and elegance. PALM Cobalt, on the other hand, derives from a clever mix of the wood that inspires it and cobalt, a refined material beloved of painters, lending itself to original solutions. There are also some top-quality graphics in PALM Sea, offered by the mixture of warm and cold shades that are typical of sea-sand, able to convey sensations of considerable diversity on the surface. PALM Fossil, instead, plays with the idea of aged wood, transforming it into an extremely on-trend design proposal.

To give further personality to the collection, there are creative possibilities deriving from sizes ranging from 20x120 cm to 8.6x35 cm, and also the hexagonal 25x27.7 cm and the unusual intertwined mosaic.
